High School Ministry Coordinator
Line Manager: Next Gen Pastor
Location: Santa Monica
Payroll Status: 40 hours/week
Work week: Sunday-Thursday
Pay Range: $50k - $55k annually
Primary Purpose of the Position
The High School Ministry Coordinator at our Santa Monica location is a key and central role within the youth ministry. The High School Ministry Coordinator will assist in taking the lead when running all things related to the High School ministry; be it weekly programming, events, retreats, or trips.
The Coordinator will work closely with the Next Gen Pastor to make sure VYouth is a thriving, fun, and effective ministry.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Next Gen Pastor in the running of the VYouth ministry
Work with the VYouth team to plan all ministry events and retreats
Scheduling and connecting with VYouth volunteer teams
Host weekly ministry programs, lead games, and preach consistently
Lead and disciple a small group
Attend and assist in planning annual retreats and camps
Help to set culture and cast vision for VYouth
Carry out necessary miscellaneous tasks and errands
Implement administrative tasks and projects as directed by the Next Gen Pastor
Take part in all-church events such as Easter, Christmas, and Focus Retreat

As a staff member of Vintage Church, the overarching purpose of your role is to serve the mission of the church. As such, you may be assigned tasks and responsibilities from time to time which are outside of the scope of this job description.
Necessary Skills & Experience
Graduation from a ministry training school, with a theological or spiritual formation focus
Experience working as a volunteer or staff in a children’s / youth ministry program a plus
Ability to stay organized, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks at the same time
Ability to write clear and well-crafted emails
Proficient in Apple OS and Google Workspace
Ability to become proficient with Planning Center Online, Asana, and other relevant websites/tools.
Strong social and emotional intelligence
Ability to maturely and appropriately handle confidential information
Requirements
A committed follower of Jesus with an active, maturing faith.
Knowledge of, and an ability to teach the basics of the Christian faith
Ability to work well in a team environment with a positive life-giving attitude
Proficient administrative skills such as scheduling, organizing, and coordinating
Additional Requirements
The work schedule may include other weekend and evening hours. In addition to the responsibilities listed above, additional tasks as assigned to serve the larger vision of the church. All staff are required to work certain church functions such as Alpha Launch Nights and the FOCUS Retreat, Good Friday, Easter Saturday & Sunday, and Christmas Eve. These special events may include additional hours for setup and teardown. Additional details are outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Auditory capability to hear well, meaning the ability to discern and comprehend spoken sound.
Pay Range
$50k to $55k annually
