Are there any key moments in your faith journey you’d like to share?
There are many – but here’s one. While in Oxford, UK, I was nerding out, standing in the very spaces where theologians I’ve studied for years once served. In that moment, God used a pastor at St. Aldates to speak a prophetic word—affirming, word for word, what He had already spoken to me about my call to ministry.
There were (happy) tears, prayers from the pastors we were traveling with, and a deep sense of God’s kindness. He is such a good Father—present in every detail of our lives. My heart is that everyone would experience that same closeness with Him, supported by a loving community.
Do you have a favorite scripture or one you return to often?
2 Chronicles 16:9. In the midst of a rather bleak chapter and difficult circumstances, the promises of God always stand. He is always looking to strengthen those who trust Him. “For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him.”
