An Evening with Dr Amy Orr-Ewing
Forgiveness as a Healer in Anxiety and Trauma
April 30, 7-9pm
In Luke 17:3-4 Jesus says “If your brother or sister sins against you… even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.” But what does that really look like in our context, right now, in 2026? The wounds we might carry are deep, and the pain seems to be ongoing.
For many of us, forgiveness feels complicated. Sometimes it feels out of reach. Sometimes it even feels unsafe. And in a world where anxiety and trauma are increasingly part of our lived experience, the idea of forgiveness can raise more questions than answers.
Our Teacher in Residence, Amy Orr-Ewing, is a globally respected speaker and author known for engaging both the heart and the mind. With warmth, depth, and clarity, she will gently guide us through a vision of forgiveness that is neither shallow nor rushed, but deeply human, honest, and restorative.
