Progress Update – March 2026

Over the past few weeks, we’ve stripped back 75 years of roofing from our buildings.

Layers of quick fixes and temporary patch jobs. At times, up to six layers deep, some even with concrete in between.

The building was never meant to carry this weight.

By redoing and strengthening the roof, we’re laying a firm foundation. It’s a quiet but significant step in the larger plan of Renewal for our Church, and, ultimately, our City.

What we’ve done isn’t just practical, it’s symbolic.

We’ve lifted old burdens so the ministry we’re doing below can continue lighter, freer. Earlier this year, we began across the alley at 1019. Now, with new roofing across the apartments and all of 1015, the entire property is covered and protected. The roof is sealed, guaranteed for 10 years..

We’re taking this moment to celebrate what God and this community have done. Whoever comes after us will inherit something stronger, intentionally stewarded forward for them. That matters.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support. I truly believe that the work of this congregation, through our Renewal Campaign, will have an impact for generations to come.

Next, we turn our attention to what’s underneath the ground. Plans are already in motion for electrical and plumbing upgrades, and we’re excited to be working toward expanding the bathrooms in the Basement!

It’s steady work. The kind that doesn’t always get noticed, but shapes and holds everything that follows.

And it’s worth doing well.
