Production Intern

Supports church events by assisting with audio, video, lighting, and livestream systems while developing strong technical, leadership, and ministry foundations within a production team environment.

Responsibilities 

  • Assist in the setup, operation, and teardown of audio, video, and lighting systems for church events

  • Support livestream and broadcast production including camera operation, basic switching, and monitoring service flow

  • Assist with ProPresenter preparation including slide formatting, media organization, and service run throughs

  • Participate in weekly service planning meetings as appropriate to understand service flow and production needs

  • Help maintain production spaces by organizing cables, equipment storage, and basic gear upkeep

  • Execute assigned production improvement projects that enhance systems, workflows, or documentation under staff guidance

  • Shadow and support production team leaders during rehearsals and services to learn best practices

  • Assist with special events such as midweek gatherings, holidays, and church wide events

  • Provide on site production support on Sundays, serving alongside volunteers and staff

Developmental Goals

  • Gain foundational proficiency in live audio, video, and lighting systems used at Vintage, including signal flow, troubleshooting basics, and service execution

  • Develop confidence and clarity in leading volunteers by learning how to communicate expectations, give direction, and support team members during services

  • Learn how to prepare and execute a full weekend service from a production perspective, including planning, rehearsal, and live execution

  • Grow in spiritual maturity by understanding the role of production as a ministry that serves worship, pastors, other ministries, and the congregation

  • Build strong professional habits including preparation, punctuality, clear communication, and ownership of responsibilities

Production Intern Schedule Variations

  • Typical Schedule: Sunday to Wednesday, with occasional evenings and odd-day events (flex hours/days)

Logan Siess, Technical Director

Logan is originally from Florida, where most of his family still calls home. He studied Film Studies and Broadcasting at Southeastern University and spent a decade working professionally in the film and media industry before transitioning into ministry in 2020. He has been serving in ministry ever since, the last four years of which have been here at Vintage Church LA as Technical Director.

Outside of work, Logan is married to Danielle, a creative photographer with Penguin Random House. The two eloped with their parents last summer in Malibu and are currently planning a destination wedding in France this coming summer, followed by a honeymoon in Italy. When he is not building LED walls or dialing in production systems, you can usually find him with a good book, following Formula One, or enjoying life with Danielle and their Samoyed Buttercream and cat Peach.
