Progress Update – November 2025

We are filled with gratitude and hope for all that’s unfolding through the Renewal Project! Thanks to your generosity, prayer, and partnership, we’re seeing tangible progress on both our 1019 and 1015 buildings. We are on track for a Summer 2026 grand opening of our new Ministry Center at 1019 California Ave.

Phase One Progress:
1019 Building

We’re seeing exciting milestones take shape. Every bit of this moves us closer to creating a space designed for impact in our community:

  • Our new roof is in place.

  • Underground utility work in the 10th Court alley is complete. This is a HUGE answer to prayer! Earlier this year we asked the congregation to pray for favor with city permits and cooperation of local utility companies to trench the alley between our 1015 and 1019 building, in order to bring the power necessary to run our new Ministry Center. This had the potential to add significant delays to our plans, which could have added years. We’re delighted to share that, because of your prayers, the necessary permissions came through and the work is complete with no delays to the project!

  • Subterranean work for the elevator is underway, to ensure that our new building is fully accessible.

  • Sawcutting for new door and window placements is in progress.

  • Structural steel is being installed.

  • IT consultation has begun to centralize systems across our entire campus.

Phase Two Begins:
1015 Building

We’ve officially begun Phase Two of the project. While Phase One continues with our General Contractor at 1019, we’re now scoping and preparing to launch multiple projects at 1015. This includes updates to better serve the needs of our community for years to come, including:

  • Roof

  • Gutters

  • Electrical systems

  • Plumbing

  • Restrooms

Praise Point:

Since our last update the major point of praise at 1015 is the installation of the new PA system! This came along with necessary electrical and structural upgrades that have allowed us to improve the sound quality in our sanctuary. This new sound experience means that our Sunday guests can engage more clearly with teaching, music, and prayer.

Dedicated Expert Teams

To help guide this next chapter, we’ve gathered two working groups made up of twelve key stakeholders; a Renewal Committee and an Interior Design Team. These groups will work alongside our board for budget and oversight and our pastoral team to align with ministry needs. Together, these groups are helping shape spaces that will work well in both form and function.

Looking Ahead: Summer 2026

Thank you for your incredible faithfulness. As we approach the end of the year, we are grateful for all the pledges fulfilled so far that have enabled us to keep this project on track.

We eagerly anticipate our Grand Opening Celebration to launch the building and celebrate. This will be a once-in-a-generation moment. Our space will not just be renewed, but ready to serve our city for the next hundred years.

Thank you for continuing to pray, give, and believe with us. God is doing something remarkable here, and we’re so glad you’re part of it.

With gratitude,

The Renewal Committee
