Progress Update – September 2026
It’s starting to feel like a real space.
One of my favorite parts of this month has been watching the building next door slowly become what we’ve been imagining for so long.
The drywall is going up, and the walls are beginning to take shape. You can walk through 1019 now and begin to see where rooms will be, where people will gather, and how the different spaces will connect.
As I walk the building today, I can actually start to see the vision taking shape in front of me. This will be a profound space for people to connect with each other and the Lord.
I’m so grateful for everyone who has prayed, given, dreamed, planned, and worked to get us to this point. We’ve been flying through many inspections with the city, please join me in praying for continued favor with Santa Monica. Here are some of the actions that have been approved since our last update:
Finished wood and metal framing
Finalized structural steel
ADA compliant pedestrian ramp concrete to be poured
Ventilation installation
Drywall is going up
Added insulation
Installed all low voltage wiring for internet, and security systems
Prepped stairs for flooring
Ordered millwork and stone
Made adjustments to store batteries for solar panels when installed
Prepping to install windows
Kickstarting the process of finishing the exterior of the building
We’ll keep sharing the progress as this story continues to unfold. Things are getting a little noisy around here… but that’s a good thing! The video below highlights the people hard at work and all the construction noise: check it out!
Blessings,
